Indian Instagram users have been left surprised after attempting to access the profiles of several prominent Pakistani artists, only to find them blocked within India. This restriction follows the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which has escalated tensions between the two nations.

Notable figures such as Atif Aslam, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, Hania Aamir, and Fawad Khan are among those whose Instagram accounts are now inaccessible to Indian users. Other affected celebrities include Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas, Sajal Aly, Ayeza Khan, and Maya Ali. These artists have garnered significant fanbases in India through their contributions to music and television.

When Indian users attempt to visit these profiles, they encounter a message stating: “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.”

In addition to Instagram restrictions, the Indian government has also blocked several Pakistani YouTube channels, citing national security concerns. In response, Pakistan has removed Indian songs from its radio stations, a move supported by the Pakistan Broadcasters Association.

These digital restrictions are part of a broader series of actions taken by both countries amid rising diplomatic tensions following the Pahalgam incident.
